Harvesting

Placeholder page for all harvesting-related activities as dictated by the official guide.

The world of Yore has many natural resources that can be harvested and used to create useful items.

To harvest an item you will need an appropriate tool (or weapon in some cases) and enough skill to be able to use it to extra the item.

In some cases a resource will only be harvested when a tool of sufficient quality is used.

When harvesting areas can become exhausted of resources in which case it's best to move on to another spot.

Statistics and Harvesting:

Higher Statistics related to the Harvesting skill will help to decrease the chance of "Got Nothing". To this point, gathering nodes with more than one drop type will be more prevalent while Harvesting with higher Statistics for that type.

Example 1: A Beech tree is only capable of dropping Beechwood Logs and "Got Nothing" and having higher STR will not increase your log output by much in the long run with only 2 drops within the loot table of that tree.

Example 2: When mining in Shroom Town Cellar you have the ability to get Stone, Coal, "Got Nothing", Iron Ore, Gold Ore and Silver Nugget.

Having higher STR in this case would increase the chance of getting the rarer ores (Gold and Silver) and you will see less "Got Nothing" while Harvesting.

Tools for Harvesting:

Harvesting require the adequate tool :

  • Lumberjacking require an axe
  • Fishing require a fishing rod
  • Mining require a pickaxe
  • Foraging require a sickle

When harvesting, you gain skill level for that skill. A tool is mastered 11 levels after his requirement. Once a tool is mastered, you will not get any skill level from this skill. You can continue leveling up with a new tier of tool. Currently, there are only 4 tier :

  • Small Axe / Pickaxe / Fishing Rod / Sickle
  • Fine Axe / Fine Pickaxe / Fine Rod / Fine Sickle
  • Mithril Axe / Mithril Pickaxe / Long Rod / Mithril Sickle
  • Lumberilum Axe / Mighty Pick / Epic Rod / Crafted Sickle

Legendary Items and Harvesting Luck:

There are currently Eight (8) Legendary Items only obtained while Harvesting. Statistics and equipment do not impact the chance to obtain these Legendaries. We have tested with multiple characters gathering simultaneously and found that the related Statistic does not impact the chance to obtain the items.

  • Heart of Wood - Obtained from Lumberjacking Oak Trees near Bala
  • Silver Worm - Obtained from Gathering Skull Piles in the Desert
  • Carrot Fish - Obtained from Fishing in Oasis Water
  • Blue Man - Obtained from Mining Cliffs
  • Fairy Cap - Obtained from Gathering Red Buds near Aerytown
  • Meteorite - Obtained from Mining Makar Pass Walls
  • Pineapple - Obtained from Fishing in Bagu Water
  • Silver Spine - Obtained from Lumberjacking Birch Trees in the Northland

As of version 1140 the Luck Mini-Game was removed, and a new version of Luck based Harvesting was added specifically for Fishing.

More details to come as this expands into the other Harvesting types.

Fishing

"Haha fish go brr..."

You can fish once you have a fishing rod.

You can get specific fish depending on the water your fishing in.

Clicking in the water will start fishing.

Different types of water require higher fishing level.

Lumberjacking

There are many varied trees in the world and most can be used as sources of wood.

To get wood from trees you must have an axe in your backpack.

Clicking on the trunk of the tree will start the chopping.

Different types of trees require specific tools and skills.

Slaying Monsters

Some monsters drop items that can be used as ingredients to recipes and crafting.

These items are normally attached to the monsters, so the only option is to kill the monster and take the item.

Unfortunately, the act of killing the monster can often destroy the desired item so some luck is required.

Mining

A pickaxe is required to mine stones and minerals from rock faces.

To start mining, have the pickaxe in your backpack and tap/click a rock face.

There are various pickaxes and other mining tools available.

Foraging

Foraging covers a range of harvesting activities, from picking apples from a tree to find twigs in a bush.

Foraging requires a sickle. With the tool in your backpack click/tap a foraging spot to start the process.

Watch out for foraging spots all over the world including inside dungeons.
