The fairground, consists of two vendors, two tents, and a band.

The one-year event ran from May 16th, 2022 to TBD. It celebrates the one-year anniversary of Tales of Yore. The fairground(located west of Aria Town) is where the event is located, adding a quest along with eight unique items, although only four of them can be obtained by any one player.

Items

Talking to Zak will allow you to purchase a party hat for ten gold. If you talk to Jaybee he can sell you a balloon for ten gold. Both the party hat and the balloon are available in three colors, orange, yellow, and green. If you buy a hat or balloon the respective NPC will no longer be selling that item, allowing you to only have one type of party hat/ballon. Both NPCs will sell you Candyfloss(also known as Cotton Candy or Fairyfloss in the US and Australia respectively) for 100 gold each. Unlike the balloon or party hat, you can buy as much Candyfloss as you want. You can also get the party blower from Orrid's quest.

The party hats as pictured on the player. You can see all three colors are included.

Quest

Obtaining the party blower isn't technically a quest because it doesn't appear in the questbook nor is it required to get 100% completion, but it does follow a storyline like a quest, and also gives a reward. The "quest" required the following steps to be completed:

  1. Head to the fairground in Aria
  2. Go into the tent on the right and talk to Orrid
  3. Orrid will complain about Henray not doing his job. Pick the "Jobs" dialogue option and then talk to Henray
  4. The reason Henray isn't completing his job is he lost his pet duck, Flappers. Offer to find the duck for him.
  5. Leave the tent, and go into the tent on the left.
  6. Talk to Zoon, the zookeeper. He'll tell you Flappers ran away.
  7. Report back to Henray, who says there's nothing he can do about it and that he'll get back to work.
  8. Finally, talk to Orrid who will reward you with a party blower.

Trivia

  • The balloons aren't able to be equipped as a cosmetic. This is intentional. In cokeandcode's words, he did it "...because I didn't want people wandering around in combat holding balloons. If you want to do it now, you have to sacrifice your shield slot, which will be enough of a deterrent I hope."
  • The left tent holds an elephant and a giant snail, with a pun for each animal. The signs read "Whats grey and doesn't matter? An irelephant. " And "How do snails fight? They slug it out"
  • Note that "Whats" in the elephant joke is misspelled. It should be "What's".
