This quest is given by Gourd who can be found in Manheim Castle

Description
If you admire Gourd's shield, he will give you one if you can pass a test. A nearby cave has a dark undead knight. If you can beat the knight and get his skull, you can get a shield.
How to Complete
Take the northwest exit from the Gates of Gombard, northeast through the Foothills where Orc live. There is a cave set into a cliff face where Hobgoblin spawn called The Hollows. Fight through Skeletons, Undead Warriors, and Undead Heroes until you reach the very bottom level of The Hollows. This is where you'll find the Dark Knight. Kill it to receive a Skull.
Bring the Skull back to Gourd and he will give you a Manheim Shield.

The Dark Knight is currently the toughest boss in the game, so open with a Freeze and focus on staying alive.
