Treasure Hunting can be done once you have completed By the Stars and obtained the Sextant.

With the use of a Spade purchased from the local blacksmith you will be able to Purchase a Treasure Map from the NPC in that town.

To dig for Treasure, you will need a Spade, or a Long Spade for use when on a Mount.

Maps have a set radius from the Treasure Map NPC of that town.

How To Use Treasure Maps

Treasure Maps may seem complicated at first but with a little practice you will be able to churn them out quickly!

The first thing you will need to do is purchase a Treasure Map.

Once you have the map double click it to see the suggested Coordinates.

Next you will want to use your Sextant and check where you are in relation to the Treasure Map.

Start exploring. Each map has its own limits of X and Y coordinates so you will need to check your Sextant frequently.

When you get to the screen that the Map directed you to, you will begin checking your Treasure Map instead of your Sextant.

The Map itself will give directions such as "Northeast a few yards" or "A few paces west" so you will want to check the Treasure Map as you walk around.

Yards tend to be multiple tiles away whereas paces are much closer together.

After the map identifies the Treasure as being "Near", you will start using your Spade around the general area until you obtain the item.

If you are having difficulty finding the treasure know that the maps all go to specific locations which are reused.

We have confirmed with over 5000 Maps completed server wide that all Treasure Maps can be completed as they are, pre-Northlands.
