If you fufill his request he'll give you five [[Fish Pie|fish pies]], which you can in turn give to him in exchange for the knowledge that there's a secret regarding his bookshelf. Upon closer inspection, the bookshelf is actually a secret entrance to the mystery mine. Note that completing his 'quest' is not actually required to enter the mine. Inside the mine is a puzzle that leads to a chest containing the Feathered Cap. If you already have the Feathered Cap, it'll give you a random amount of money. The puzzle is supposed to be a tic-tac-toe game that you have to win in order to get the prize. Here's an example solution: Middle top latter, middle latter, left top latter, right top latter.

Description

Mike is an adventurer who lives alone deep in the Dark Woods. He built his home in this area so he can concentrate on training his crafting skills. Travelers who come by his home receive a request from him in exchange for a tip. Something looks out of place here.
